Mr. Lawrence (Lixin) Yang is the founder and managing attorney of Lawrence Lixin Yang, P.C.

 

Mr. Yang’s strength has been representing real estate developers in multimillion land or building purchases and sales, drafting and acquiring the approval of condominium offering plans and applying for tax exemption from the City of New York.

In 2016, The Real Deal, one of the most authoritative real estate media based in New York, ranked the New York City’s Top 15 Law Firms by the total initial offering prices of condominium offering plans they filed and were accepted by the Office of the New York State Attorney General between October 1, 2015, and September 30, 2016. Solely worked on by Mr. Yang and assistant, Dai & Associates was named No.12 Top Law Firms with a total offering price of $154 Million, which is the only Chinese-owned law firm that made the list. Mr. Yang filed offering plans for 7 projects with a total of 211 residential condominium units during the term from October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016 alone.  

 

Mr. Yang’s practice focuses on real estate, corporate, commercial matters and legal affairs of business suits. He has extensive experience in a broad range of transactions, including commercial leasing, commercial sales and  acquisitions, residential purchases and sales, zoning, land use, commercial and residential lending, including small business and middle-market loans, construction loans, leasehold financing and asset-based credit facilities. He is also experienced in 1031 exchanges and other tax deferral programs.

Mr. Yang has represented clients in federal courts and state courts and has successfully solved a large number of cases in terms of contract disputes, commercial transactions, international trade, and trademark infringement.

 

Mr. Yang has extensive professional experience. His excellent English skills add a bonus to his legal practice. His superb legal writing skills are benefits derived from his English studying. He earned his M.A. degree in English Literature in Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). Careful logic thinking and accuracy of English using upgraded his English to a high level.

 

Prior to establishing his own law firm, Mr. Yang was a partner in Dai & Associates, P.C. in Manhattan, New York. Before that, Mr. Yang was a senior attorney in Kevin Kerveng Tung, P.C. in Queens, New York.

 

Mr. Yang earned his Juris Doctor’s degree in the University of Maine School of Law in 2007 and passed the New York State Bar Examination in the same year after his graduation.

 

Mr. Yang is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York, United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
