421-A TAX ABATEMENT

The NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) determines your eligibility and approves your application.

Your property may qualify for a property tax exemption if your property value changed because you did construction on a multi-family residential building. The benefits vary based on:

  • Location;

  • Property use; and

  • Requirements for affordable housing.
